Chatty "Kathy"

Our little Ava Kathryn is quite the talker for a 22-month old baby.  (I have no idea where she gets that.)

She climbed up the bar stool the other day to help me break the green beans we got from the Amish.  (You may call it "snapping beans" in your neck of the woods.) I was breaking off the ends and she was snapping them in pieces.

Here's how the conversation went:

(Snap)
"Mo, peese."
"Here you go."
"Dant doo."
"You're welcome."
(Can't get one to snap.)
"Haoop."
"You can do it."
(Snap)
"Dot it."
"Mo, peese."
"Here you go."
"Dant doo."
"You're welcome."
(Can't get another to snap.)
"Haoop."
"O.K., I'll help." (Snap.)
"Yeah, Mommy." (With clapping.)

Nevermind the beans, I just wanted to eat her up for dinner.

  1. "Dant doo!" for that little story! She is such a sweetie! Breakin' beans reminds me of so many days back home. We'd pick beans from Papaw's garden. It always seemed that he'd planted enough to feed the entire county! Then, we'd sit with Mamaw in the porch swing and break away. I still love that sound of a good clean "snap"! ;-)
